This non-spessartine garnets we have yet to seen from this part of the world. We see the wine-red spessartines occasionally, but this is Hessonite. The colour is an unusual peachy-orange hue in person, quite distinct from most garnet and reminiscent. The lustre is medium, not glassy, but the faces are sharp and looks like a faced gems on matrix.
